Terms of Use
Updated 4 September 2026
In short: MeuMe is a free app for arranging meet-ups with friends. Behave decently and you will never need the rest of this text.
What MeuMe is
MeuMe is a non-commercial app for local meet-ups: create an event, invite people, agree on a time and place, sort out who brings what.
It is made by a private person — Oleksii Bychek — not a company. There are no ads, no paid subscriptions and no selling of data — and until this document says otherwise, there will not be.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old.
An account is required: sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email. One account, one person. Do not impersonate anyone and do not create accounts for others.
You are responsible for everything done from your account. If you think someone else got into it, write to us.
What is not allowed here
Threatening, harassing, insulting, or stirring up hatred against people for their origin, faith, gender, orientation or health.
Posting sexual content, violence, and above all anything involving children.
Posting other people’s personal data without permission — addresses, phone numbers and photos of people who did not agree to it.
Spam, advertising, recruiting people into money-making schemes, mailings that are not about a meet-up.
Breaking the law of the country where the meet-up happens, or urging others to.
Creating events or messages automatically, working around the app’s limits, or trying to reach other people’s data.
Your content stays yours
The titles, descriptions, photos and messages you write belong to you. We do not claim them and we do not pass them anywhere.
By creating them in MeuMe you give us permission to show them inside the app — to exactly the people your event’s settings intend them for.
And the app belongs to its author
MeuMe itself — its code, its design and all the drawn covers — belongs to Oleksii Bychek. The illustrations were commissioned specifically for this app.
Use them inside MeuMe as much as you like: put them on your events, share the link, show them to friends. Taking them out of here and using them elsewhere is another matter — that is not allowed.
What we do when the rules are broken
Every event and every message has a “Report” button. Reports are read by a person.
We may remove content, close an event or block an account. Where the harm is obvious — without warning. Otherwise we write first.
You can also block anyone yourself, from your profile. A blocked person will not see your events, and you will not see their messages.
Meet-ups happen in life, not in the app
This is the most important section here. MeuMe shows who is inviting whom, and that is where its role ends.
We do not organise meet-ups, we do not vet the people who create them, and we cannot be responsible for what happens on the spot. Anyone can create a public event.
So: go to a meet-up with strangers as carefully as you would go anywhere else new. Tell someone where you are going. Make first meetings in busy places.
The app is free and provided “as is”
It may not work, may be wrong, may lose data or disappear entirely. We try to prevent that, but we promise and guarantee nothing.
We are not liable for losses you suffer through the app — except where the law does not allow such liability to be excluded.
You can leave at any time
Your profile has a “Delete account” button. It removes your name, photo, settings, the events you created and your messages.
What exactly disappears and what remains is described in the Privacy Policy.
If the rules change
We will say so in the app before the changes take effect. If the new terms do not suit you, the account can be deleted.
